What is the Abbotsford Tulip Festival?
The Abbotsford Tulip Festival is an offering inviting the public to visit and enjoy the gorgeous spectacle of a working flower farm – Lakeland Flowers. The tulip fields on display during the Abbotsford Tulip Festival span 27 acres and showcase 70 varieties of tulips, including double, fringed, and parrot varieties, across a dazzling 5 million flowering bulbs!
The Abbotsford Tulip Festival is just one part of a 6 month flower offering at Lakeland Flowers, that begins with tulips from April to May, peonies from May to June, lavender from June to August, and sunflowers from June to September!

Is the Abbotsford Tulip Festival mobility aid and stroller accessible?
We love for our guests with mobility aids and strollers to have the best experience at Lakeland Flowers. However, we recommend that our guests be able to comfortably walk 1km without assistance to get the best experience. Wheel chairs that are not suitable for uneven ground are not recommended.
Our field walkways are on grass or dirt which can sometimes be uneven or muddy. We recommend that if you use a mobility aid or stroller, that you visit us on a day when we’ve had a few days without rain. Please check our Field Report and/or social media for an update on our accessibility status.
Please note that our Tulips span 27 acres! Bring suitable shoes for walking!
Can I buy tickets at the gate?
Yes! Tickets can be purchased with Cash or Credit Card at the gate. However, we highly recommend that you take advantage of the discount we offer for purchasing tickets in advance, online! See all ticket pricing here.
What if it's raining?
The Abbotsford Tulip Festival operates rain or shine! Please dress appropriately for the weather – this includes considering appropriate footwear for the conditions! See our Field Report to get an idea of walkway conditions.
What if there aren't many tulips blooming when I visit?
The timing of our tulips blooming is weather dependent. Low temperatures slow the blooming process. Please stay tuned to our social media or check our Field Report for updates on field status before purchasing tickets, if this is of concern to you.
Will I be able to get a refund if I can't attend?
All tickets are final sale.
Please feel free to gift your tickets to your friends or family if you cannot attend.
Is there a discount for children?
Children 3 and under are free!
Is there a baby changing station?
We are excited to be offering a baby changing station for all those families attending our event with little ones.
Are you dog friendly?
Absolutely! We ask that your dog remains on leash at all times and that you clean up after them. Failure to do so will result in removal from the property.
Will there be food trucks?
Yes! We will have food trucks and a lovely seating area for you to enjoy a bite to eat or beverage. Please check our socials for the most up to date Food Truck Schedule.
Can I pick my own tulips?
No, however, we will have tulips available for sale at our flower shop on-site!
